A young man from Shenzhen has come up with a creative idea to raise social awareness of climate change: He turns smog into building blocks. The man has spent 100 days in Beijing collecting smog and eventually compressed the dust into a “brick”. He plans to advocate these blocks as building materials in   ‪ Beijing‬ . During the 100 days, the masked man carried with him an industrial vacuum cleaner wherever he visited in Beijing. The power of vacuum cleaner can last for four days with every single charge, with a capacity of sucking in the amount of air that 62 people breathe in every day.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 -- Researchers analyzing a 90-million-year-old fossil skull of an extinct reptile from Argentina said Friday they may have solved an evolutionary puzzle about how snakes lost their legs. Their results, published in the U.S. journal Science Advances, showed that snakes lost their limbs when their ancestors evolved to live and hunt in burrows, which many snakes still do today. Some scientists have prev iously argued that limblessness in snakes was due to an adaptation for swimming in the ocean, although the prevailing hypothesis about snake evolution is that they were ancestrally terrestrial burrowers. In the new study, scientists used CT scans to examine the bony inner ear of Dinilysia patagonica, a two-meter long reptile closely linked to modern snakes. Reporting that a great Thanksgiving dinner was produced here in Kabul thanks to the chefs at the guest house with a bit of help from me. Chinese President Xi Jinping is headed for State visits to Zimbabwe and South Africa, where he will also host the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Johannesburg.   The visits come as some prominent Africans spoke highly of Xi to the People’s Daily, calling him a gentle and sincere person who is enthusiastic and wise. "We are extremely happy here in South Sudan that we have the first Chinese infantry battalion in peacekeeping. They have been very hard-working," said Ellen  Loej, UN Special Representative of the Secretary General and head of UN Mission in South Sudan. The Chinese battalion, which consists of three infantry companies and one supply company, has 700 peacekeepers. The peacekeepers have been tasked with protecting civilians as well as UN personnel and facilities. They have also participated in humanitarian relief and street patrolling since their deployment this April.

The S-400 surface-to-air missile system has been deployed to Russian ‪  Hmeymim‬  airbase in  ‪ Syria‬  on Thursday. Russian Defense Ministry announced the deployment of the S-400 systems on Wednesday, a day after Turkish fighter jets shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber. The S-400 ensures air defense using long- & medium-range missiles that can hit aerial targets at ranges of up to 400 kilometers. Huangshan, which can be literally translated into "Yellow Mountains", is a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern  ‪ China‬ . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China's major tourist destinations. The area also has been a location for scientific research because of its diversity of flora and wildlife. I was in many protests during the Civil Rights movement and the only violence were from the police and the National guard. Remember Kent state? Three people were shot dead and nine others injured in a shooting on Friday in the city of Colorado Springs, the United States, according to authorities. After more than five hours of standoff, police arrested a gunman, who stormed a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Colorado Springs and opened fire with a rifle. The killed includes one officer and two civilians, Colorado Springs Police Chief Peter Carey told reporters about an hour after the suspect had been captured, adding that all nine surviving victims, five police officers and four civilians, were in good condition at area hospitals.
