Chinese Teenager rises to fame after being spotted practicing with a mannequin for a dance competition
15-year-old Qi Yuhung from Changchun in northeast #China is so desperate to win an upcoming dance competition, he’s been twirling in the snow with a mannequin.
Sadly Qi doesn’t have a dance partner so the plastic model is the best thing he’s got to help him with his moves.
Stunning yet bizarre photos were taken of Qi on November 29 where he usually practices in his local park. He's now famous for what he does, as these pictures have been widely shared online in China.
Chinese media reports have been calling him Billy Elliot from the British dance film released in 2000 - about a young boy who loves ballet - because of his passion for dance.
Located near a lake, Qi dressed in black, showed his flexibility and amazing choreographed dance steps to locals passing by.
The freezing temperatures and the thick snow do not seem to distract Qi who was clearly enjoying himself.
Speaking to a local reporter the incredible dancer explained why he was dancing with the mannequin: ‘I used to have a Latin dance partner, however, she could not make the competition for some reason. So lately I have been searching for a suitable partner.'
'I have trouble finding one. Dance is a thing you must practice every day, otherwise you lag behind, so I decided to use this plastic model as a partner for practicing.’ (Article by Mail Online)
